PALAS 2K Waterproofing Membrane HIDROFLEX

Two-component polymer-cement mixture with highly waterproof properties. It consists of liquid component A and powder component B, which, when mixed, form a durable, highly flexible, waterproof membrane. It is used for waterproofing pools, terraces and balconies, bathrooms and kitchens, underground and protective walls, basements, ground floors, foundation slabs, and elevator shafts. Suitable for protecting concrete, cement, and masonry surfaces from capillary moisture, water penetration under low pressures, as well as in cases where waterproofing is required under positive and higher negative hydrostatic water pressure.

Characteristics

Efficient and easy application. Waterproof, vapour-permeable, and suitable for underfloor heating systems. Resistant to moisture and freezing with excellent strength and adhesion. Applied with a brush or roller and does not have a corrosive effect on steel or iron.

Application

Slowly add the contents of the 10 kg bag of powder component B to 5 kg of liquid component A, while constantly mixing with an electric mixer at low speed until a homogeneous mass without lumps is formed. Let the mixed material stand for 5 minutes, then mix again. The prepared mass is ready for installation and must be used within 30 minutes. DO NOT ADD WATER!
Apply in a crosswise manner in 2 coats, but it is possible to apply 3 or 4 coats on surfaces exposed to greater water influence, with the thickness of one coat not exceeding 1 mm.

Curing

It is possible to walk on the isolated surface after 3 days. Ceramic tiles can be glued after 3-5 days (under standard conditions t=+20°C, rel. humidity 65%). In case of high humidity and low temperatures, the drying time will be longer.

Packaging

Component A: Canister 5 kg.
Component B: Paper bag 10 kg.

Consumption

0.8 – 1.2 kg/m² in two layers, depending on the thickness of the application and the type of substrate.
