PALAS 1K Waterproofing membrane HIDROBASIC
Single-component mixture of cement and fillers enriched with special water-repellent and waterproof polymers and additives. By mixing with water, it forms a solid, durable paste that can be applied with a robust brush or trowel to protect concrete, cement, and masonry surfaces from capillary moisture, water penetration under low pressures, and in cases where waterproofing is required under positive hydrostatic water pressure.
It is used for waterproofing buried and protective walls, basements, ground floors, foundation slabs, and elevators.
Characteristics
Efficient and easy application. Waterproof, vapour-permeable, and suitable for underfloor heating systems. Resistant to moisture and freezing with excellent strength and adhesion.
Application
Gradually add the contents of a 20 kg bag to 5.4 L (27%) of water, while constantly mixing with an electric mixer until fully homogenized. Let the mixed material stand for 5-10 minutes, then mix again. The prepared mass is ready for application and must be used within 1 hour. Apply the mass with a robust brush or metal trowel on a pre-moistened substrate, in at least two cross layers, to achieve a minimum membrane thickness of 2 mm. Apply the second layer immediately after the first layer has hardened, but not completely dried.
Curing
Tile adhesion after 3 to 5 days.
